Privacy Policy — The Guild

1. Who we are

Eden Technologies Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for information collected through jointheguild.app. Registered in England and Wales. Company Number: 16775838. Contact: hello@jointheguild.app

2. What data we collect

• Email address — when you join the waitlist or make a purchase
• Payment information — processed directly by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• Purchase records — whether you have a free or founding tier account
• Usage data — standard server logs including IP address and browser type

3. Why we collect it

• Email address: to notify you when The Guild launches and to send your confirmation email. Lawful basis: contract and legitimate interests.
• Payment records: to fulfil your purchase and maintain accurate records. Lawful basis: contract and legal obligation.
• Usage data: to maintain site security and diagnose technical issues. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.

4. How we store it

Your email and tier status are stored securely in Supabase, a cloud database service. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We do not sell your data to third parties.

5. Third parties

We share data with the following services to operate the site:

• Stripe (stripe.com) — payment processing. Stripe may store data outside the UK. See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
• Resend (resend.com) — email delivery. Used solely to send your confirmation email.
• Vercel (vercel.com) — website hosting. Standard server logs may be retained.
• Supabase (supabase.com) — database storage.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to processing
• Data portability

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@jointheguild.app. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Data retention

We retain your email address and tier status until you request deletion or for a maximum of 3 years after the app launches, whichever comes first. Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by UK law.

8. Cookies

jointheguild.app does not currently use tracking cookies. We may use essential session cookies for form functionality.

9. Children

The Guild is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.

11. Changes

We may update this policy as our service develops. We will notify waitlist members of significant changes by email.
